Between the 20’s and 40’s, the world was changing for men and women. The twenties were dealing with the end of the first World War, and that’s just the beginning. In America is was “The Roaring Twenties”, while in Europe it was “The Golden Age” of the that decade.
Prohibition continued throughout that time, while those in
organized crime turned to smuggling all types of alcohol, one name that stands
out through the period is Al Capone. Speakeasies were favorite hangouts for a
lot of people, even police.
Women were granted more rights, including the ability to
vote, in America and Canada, but they still had to fight each and everyday to
be taken seriously, throughout the world.
